Spring 2025: South Region Middle School and High School Programs

** PROGRAM SIZED IS LIMITED AND TEAM FORMATION IS DEPENDENT ON SUFFICIENT VOLUNTEER COACHES**
** WE WILL UTILIZE A WAITLIST TO MANAGE NUMBER OF PLAYERS BASED ON NUMBER OF COACH VOLUNTEERS AND FIELD SPACE**

Our program utilizes PARENT VOLUNTEER COACHES! Without coaches, there will not be teams! Please consider volunteering to coach your child's team. You can volunteer during registration and we offer discounted registration!

Our programs are TEAM-BASED, OPEN ENROLLMENT programs! There are no tryouts or evaluations for our general recreation programs. Teams are formed based on practice night and friend requests within your age group.

Quick Facts for U14/Middle School and U16/U19/High School Rec Soccer in South Region
Season:	March 3 through May 18
Teams Offered:	U14 Boys and Girls (6th/7th/8th graders) High School Boys and Girls. High School teams will be split into 9/10th grade and 11/12th grades if possible.
Practice Location:	McKee Road Park, 4201 McKee Road, Charlotte (MAP)
Game Locations:	Games are played against other soccer clubs at fields throughout the Mecklenburg/Cabarrus area. There will be HOME AND AWAY games. AWAY games will require travel throughout the Charlotte Metro region.
Special Considerations:	Players registered for competitive soccer cannot participate in these programs. High School Varsity players cannot participate during their school soccer season.

AGE GROUPS
MIDDLE SCHOOL (U14) AND HIGH SCHOOL (U19)

• Separate teams for boys and girls.

• U14: Mostly Middle School age players (primarily consists of players born in 2011 and 2012)
Playing in 14U/Middle School is for players who are in middle school for the school year beginning Fall 2024.
High School players must play in the High School division.
Players born in 2010 or 2013 who will be in middle school for the Spring 2025 season are also eligible. Please CONTACT US for registration assistance.

• U16 and U19: High School Age Players
The High School program includes any player born in 2006-2010, as long as they are enrolled in high school for Spring 2025.
We will form separate teams for 9/10th grade and 11/12th grade if possible.

PRACTICE INFORMATION
MIDDLE SCHOOL (U14) AND HIGH SCHOOL (U19)

• Spring Season begins March 3 and ends in mid-May dependent on league schedule and tournament participation.
• One practice per week, at McKee Road Park, 4201 McKee Road, Charlotte (MAP).
• Practice nights available: Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, OR Thursday, based on coach availability.
• Practices are generally 6:45 to 7:45 or 7:45 to 8:45 as available.
• Players are assigned to a practice night and time based on coach availability & special requests.
• You can select one "blackout" night during registration.
• A parent or designated person that provides transportation for the player must remain onsite at all times in case of emergency.

GAME INFORMATION
MIDDLE SCHOOL (U14) AND HIGH SCHOOL (U19)

• U14/Middle School and U19/High School teams participate in the Mecklenburg Area Recreational Soccer League.
• Games are played throughout the Mecklenburg/Cabarrus area.
• A minimum of 6 games are scheduled per season on Saturdays and Sundays. Occasional weeknights may be needed for makeup games.
• A parent or designated person that provides transportation for the player must remain onsite at all times in case of emergency.

FEES AND POLICIES
MIDDLE SCHOOL (U14) AND HIGH SCHOOL (U19)

U14/Middle School Fee: $195 per season
U19/High School Fee: $195 per season
• We do our best to meet requests, but they are not guaranteed.
• Refunds are not provided due to schedule conflicts, change requests, registration errors or requests that could not be met, sorry.
• Requests for registration cancellation must be received by February 1 to be eligible for credit or refund. All cancellations are subject to $25 administrative fee. No refunds/credits for individual player registration cancellations received after February 1.
• Volunteer to coach your child's team and your fees will be reimbursed when the season starts. You can volunteer during the player registration process.
• Uniform is NOT included in fee. Please see below.

UNIFORMS AND REQUIRED EQUIPMENT
MIDDLE SCHOOL (U14) AND HIGH SCHOOL (U19)

HOME UNIFORM: Yellow CSA Jersey, black shorts, and black socks
AWAY UNIFORM: White CSA Jersey, black shorts and black socks
• This is same uniform used for Fall 2024 and will be used through Spring 2026.
• If you do not have this uniform kit, it must be purchased separately as follows:
Players are required to purchase the two jerseys online from Soccer.com. (One yellow jersey and one white jersey).
Players are also required to have black athletic shorts, black soccer socks, shinguards, cleats and a ball. These can be purchased at soccer.com OR any other store.

Please note that not all events apply to all age groups or locations - read the details for the event! Check back often for updates and changes!
December 9	Registration Opens for Spring season. Sign up early. Our program has limited capacity. We will utilize wait lists when necessary to manage enrollment. Wait lists can start at any time, based on demand. Register early to avoid the waitlist. You are not guaranteed a spot on a team if you are on the wait list.
February 1st	Last day to request an individual refund if you choose not to participate. Subject to administrative fees.
TBD	Coaches Clinic South 1:30-2:30pm. McAlpine Elementary School - 9100 Carswell Lane, Charlotte, NC 28277
February 21	Team Assignments and Practice Nights emailed to parents. This is delayed if we do not have ALL coaches.
March 3-7	First Week of Practices
Game Days (U14-U19)	Minimum of 6 Game Days To Be Determined Mid-March through mid-May Games may be scheduled for Saturdays and Sundays in the season.

South Region/U14 (Middle School) & U19 (High School) Rec Soccer-Spring 2025

If your player has not participated with CSA recently, you will be required to upload a photo of your player's proof of birth (Birth Certificate or passport) during the registration process.

This program has limited capacity and may close early. If the program is full, you may register your child to the wait list. We will form additional teams if we have coaches and sufficient players!

Formation of teams is dependent on sufficient parent volunteers and enrollment.

Our program is TEAM-BASED and utilizes VOLUNTEER PARENTS AS COACHES.
