Wait list Information:

A wait list will begin when the age group is full based on the projected number of teams. If enough players and coaches are interested, we will add teams.

If you are signing up for the wait list, there is no fee due unless we are able to assign your player to a team. However, be sure to complete registration all the way to get a confirmation on the screen and by email.

If a spot becomes available we will reach out by text or email and you will be asked to make a payment at that time. We are unable to predict a time frame for the wait list, sorry!

We are almost always in need of volunteer head coaches. If you are interested in volunteering, please complete that part of the registration form when asked. If we need you as a head coach, then your child will be activated from the wait list.

FALL 2024 INFORMATION FOR COLONEL BEATTY PARK LOCATION

The emphasis of CSA RECREATIONAL SOCCER is on players having fun and making new friends while participating in the great sport of soccer!

We have CENTRALIZED GAME LOCATIONS. There are no games played at Palisades, Colonel Beatty Park, or Uptown/McClintock. Those are practice venues only.

Our program utilizes PARENT VOLUNTEER COACHES! Without coaches, there will not be teams! Please consider volunteering to coach your child's team. You can volunteer during registration, and we offer reimbursement of fees for the child of the head coach!

Our programs are TEAM-BASED, OPEN ENROLLMENT programs! There are no tryouts or evaluations for our general recreation programs. Teams are formed based on practice night and friend requests within your age group.

QUICK FACTS ABOUT PROGRAMS OFFERED AT COLONEL BEATTY PARK IN MATTHEWS
Season:	September 9 through mid-November.
Divisions Offered:	6U (2019 & 2020 Birth years. players must be at least 4 by September 15.) 8U (2017 & 2018 Birth years) 10U (2015 & 2016 Birth years) Separate teams for boys and girls.
Practice Location:	Colonel Beatty Park, 4330 Weddington Road, Matthews (MAP)
Practice Days:	One Practice per week, on the same night each week, assigned based on parent preferences and coach availability. May be Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, OR Thursday.
Game Location:	Primary: Crestdale Middle School, 940 Sam Newell Road. Matthews, NC 28015 (MAP) Secondary: Colonel Beatty Park, 4330 Weddington Road, Matthews (MAP) , McAlpine Elementary School or other nearby fields.
Game Days:	Minimum 6 Saturdays in season. Game times vary. Sunday afternoon or Friday evening games are possible for make ups.

Age Groups/Genders Offered
Separate teams for boys and girls.
Age groups are based on YEAR OF BIRTH, not current age or grade!! Two birth years are combined in each age division as shown.
Please see our age group policy - requests to play up must be made prior to August 1 and are subject to approval and space availability.

U6 (Players Born in 2019 and 2020, players must be at least 4 by September 15.)
Plays 3 v 3 with no goalie. 6 to 7 players per team.
U8 (Players Born in 2017 & 2018)
Plays 4 v 4 with no goalie. 7 to 9 players per team.
U10 (Players Born in 2015 & 2016)
Plays 7 v 7 with goalie. 10 to 13 players per team.

PRACTICE INFORMATION:
Matthews/Colonel Beatty Park Practice Location for U6, U8, and U10

• Fall Season begins September 9 and ends no later than November 16.
• One practice per week at Colonel Beatty Park, 4330 Weddington Road, Matthews (MAP).
• Practice nights available: Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, OR Thursday, dependent on coach availability.
• Players are assigned to a practice night and time based on coach availability & parent requests.
• You can select one "blackout" night during registration to avoid conflicts with other activities.
• Practices are 45 minutes for 6U, one hour for 8U and 10U.
• 6U and 8U practices begin at 5:30pm; 10U practices begin at 5:30pm or 6:45pm as available.
• A parent or designated adult guardian that provides transportation for the player must remain onsite at all times. Players may not be dropped off.

GAME INFORMATION
Matthews/Colonel Beatty Park Practice Location for U6, U8, and U10

• Games are played at Crestdale Middle School, 940 Sam Newell Road. Matthews, NC 28015 (MAP) Backup: Colonel Beatty Park, 4330 Weddington Road, Matthews (MAP). McAlpine Elementary School, 9100 Carswell Road or nearby field if demand requires.
• 6 games minimum per season; played primarily on Saturdays between 9am and 5pm.
• Scheduled game days: September 21, 28. October 5, 12, 19, 26, November 2, 9.
• Rain dates: Sundays in season, and Saturday, November 16.
• A parent or designated adult guardian that provides transportation for the player must remain onsite at all times. Players may not be dropped off.

FEES AND POLICIES
Matthews/Colonel Beatty Park Practice Location for U6, U8, and U10

6U: $140 per season
8U: $160 per season
10U: $170 per season
• We do our best to meet requests, but they are not guaranteed.
• Refunds are not provided due to schedule conflicts, registration errors or requests that could not be met, sorry.
• Requests for registration cancellation must be received by August 1 to be eligible for credit or refund. All cancellations are subject to $25 administrative fee. No refunds/credits for individual player registration cancellations received after August 1.
• Volunteer to coach your child's team and your player's fees will be reimbursed when the season starts. You can volunteer during the player registration process. Limit one discount per team.
• Uniform is NOT included in fee. Please see below.

UNIFORM ORDERING INFORMATION AND REQUIRED EQUIPMENT
Matthews/Colonel Beatty Park Practice Location for U6, U8, and U10

• We will have a NEW UNIFORM starting in Fall 2024. Purchase is required for all participants.
• Players are required to purchase two jerseys online from Soccer.com. (One yellow jersey and one white jersey).
• Players are also required to have black athletic shorts, black soccer socks, shinguards, cleats and a ball. These can be purchased at soccer.com OR any other store.
"HOME" UNIFORM: Yellow CSA Jersey, black shorts, and black socks
"AWAY" UNIFORM: White CSA Jersey, black shorts and black socks
• A white CSA practice t-shirt will be provided during the first practice/game.
• For Fall season, CSA will provide a new PUMA soccer ball to each player at the start of practices!

June 1	Registration Opens for Fall season on June 1st. Sign up early. Our program has limited capacity. We will utilize wait lists when necessary to manage enrollment. Wait lists can start at any time, based on demand. You are not guaranteed a spot on a team if you are on the wait list.
August 1	Last day to request an individual refund if you choose not to participate. Subject to administrative fees.
Saturday, August 24th	Coaches Clinic North 10-11am. Dave & Buster's Soccer Complex- 3400 Davidson Highway 73 Concord, NC
Sunday, August 25th	Coaches Clinic South 1:30-2:30pm. McAlpine Elementary School - 9100 Carswell Lane, Charlotte, NC 28277

August 30	Team Assignments and Practice Nights emailed to parents. This is delayed if we do not have coaches!
September 9 - 13th	First Week of Practices for weeknight teams. KickStarters begins September 21.
Game Days KickStarters and 6U through 12U	Saturdays: September 21, 28, October 5, 12 (Silent Saturday), 19, 26. November 2, 9 Game schedules for the season are typically available one week prior to the first game!
Make Up Dates if Needed	Sundays, in season, and Saturday, November 16.
