Special Request Policies for Registration - North Area Programs

CSA Rec North Region Registration and Request Policy

We do our best, but requests cannot be guaranteed, sorry!

CSA staff reviews and considers all special requests as a GUIDE while forming teams. We work to equalize roster size in each division so all teams meet the minimum required player count. Some teams are over-requested, and therefore, we cannot always meet every request. Special requests are fulfilled in order of paid registration.

ALL REQUESTS MUST BE MADE ONLINE DURING REGISTRATION IN THE FORMAT PROVIDED.
We do not carry information from season to season. Please do not assume we know what you want - make the request.

Requests for a teammate (all ages) or a coach (U12 and older) can be entered during registration, but please keep in mind that they are REQUESTS, and are not guaranteed.

Questions: Contact us.

Frequently Asked Questions - North Area Programs

REGISTRATION

How do I know which age group to choose?

Our programs are based on the year your child was born. Once your child is entered as a participant, our registration program offers options based on your child's date of birth and gender. Remember that our programs include two or more birth years.

Your child remains in the same age group for the fall and spring seasons.

Can we change age groups?

Because of our sanctioning with USYS and NCYSA, we follow their age groups and their guidelines. We require that all players enter their correct date of birth, register in their correct age group, and file a request to change age groups with [email protected]. We may require a brief evaluation of the player prior to approving the change. Remember, we do collect and check birth certificates. Falsification of your child's date of birth in our registration system can result in removal from the program.

Can I choose a practice day?

At our Cabarrus and Mount Pleasant locations, each age group practices on a specific day that is stated clearly on the program information page and during registration. Practice groups/locations may be combined or eliminated if enrollment is low.

Can I choose a coach?
Can I choose a friend as a teammate?
My child needs to ride with a neighbor. Can they be on the same team?

We consider all requests when forming teams. We work to equalize roster size within each division and may have too many requests for the same team. Therefore,
we cannot guarantee that all requests can be accommodated.

In all age groups, there is an option to request a teammate/coach's child.
Please coordinate with your friend on practice location and requests.

If you request a friend that is not in your age group, you will NOT be moved unless you formally request an age group change

Can I get a refund?
The deadline to request refunds is August 1 for the fall and February 1 for the Spring. Administrative charges apply. Please review our Cancellation and Compensation Policy. Click here

PRACTICES AND GAMES

When are the games?

Games for KickStarters and U6-U12 divisions are on Saturdays at Frank Liske Park, typically beginning a 8:30am and running through the afternoon, depending on the number of teams. Make up games may be Sunday afternoons.
U14 and U19 Teams play in the Mecklenburg Area Recreational Soccer (MARS) League. They will have home games at Frank Liske Park and away games at varying locations throughout the Greater Charlotte area.

What if it is raining?

Our program is very large and rescheduling practices and games is difficult. For that reason, we make every effort to hold all practices and games as scheduled, even in the rain! When we have to cancel games or practices, we utilize the CSA Team App. You will be invited to the app when practices start!
We will attempt to make up games during the season as noted on the calendar.
