FALL 2020 POLICIES

UPDATE AUGUST 7, 2020

CSA Rec families,
We hope this email finds you all healthy and staying active. Thank you for registering with CSA for the Fall season despite the uncertainties facing our community. CSA will continue to make every effort to provide a season of soccer our recreational program players and we are looking forward to returning to the fields!

In response to the extension of Phase 2 in North Carolina, as well as local government actions that continue to limit access to public fields at this time, CSA has made the decision to delay the start of the recreational soccer season one week, from September 7 to September 14.


Our COVID-19 Season Plan was developed to take these delays into account and allows us to modify the schedule as needed as we progress through the next few months. We will continue to plan for the fall season with confidence that we can head into September 11 with permission to hold practices and games on most of our usual fields. We ask that you please take a few moments to re-review the CSA Season Plan as well as the calendar that appears on the webpage for your age group and location.

We will keep you updated on any developments that will impact the plan for the fall season and we continue to accept registrations for the fall season as noted on the website.

A few housekeeping items:

Uniforms: We have been getting a few questions about uniforms. If you have a blue uniform from last season, you are welcome to use that for the Fall season. If you need a uniform, information will be provided soon. While our new sky blue uniforms will be in use through Spring 2021, we understand that many families would prefer to delay the purchase. We respect that decision and will work with you to resolve any issues that arise.

Volunteers: We are still recruiting parent volunteers to coach our teams. This season more than ever, it is important to lock in our volunteers early so they can attend our coach training sessions in preparation for the extra safety measures we will be implementing this season. Please consider volunteering to coach your child’s team! Contact Amy at the email address below.

Junior Academy: Junior Academy evaluations scheduled for August 12-15 will be rescheduled. We will send and post information as soon as possible! Please reach out to Rich at the address below with questions.


COVID-19 POLICIES - FALL 2020

The program information offered below is based on CSA’s understanding of current situation based the Governor’s orders and other guidance as of July 15, 2020 and our best prediction of allowable activities on public properties for the upcoming months.

CSA is looking forward to seeing our new and returning families and we will make every effort to provide a great soccer experience, but like all of you, we are faced with much uncertainty due to the impact of the pandemic and the governing bodies' response.

Should you decide to register for Fall soccer, we ask for your understanding and flexibility, as changes to field assignments and dates may be necessary based on allowable activities, available venues and capacities.

PRIOR TO REGISTERING WITH CSA REC SOCCER, REVIEW THE DOCUMENTS BELOW. 
You will be required to acknowledge that you have read, understand, agree and intend to comply with these policies.

GENERAL REGISTRATION INFORMATION

We understand that given the current situation, many families will choose to wait as long as possible before making a commitment to registering. Our programs will continue to accept players as long as we have spots available; however, you may be placed on a wait list at any time .

• OUR PROGRAMS HAVE LIMITED CAPACITY. 
•  REGISTER EARLY - REGISTRATION IS FIRST COME, FIRST SERVED.
• ONLY COMPLETED REGISTRATIONS ARE HONORED - CHECK YOUR EMAIL RECEIPT TO VERIFY REGISTRATION AND PAYMENT.

• IF A DIVISION IS FULL, YOU CAN REGISTER YOUR CHILD TO THE WAIT LIST AT NO COST AND YOU WILL BE CONTACTED WHEN SPACE IS AVAILABLE.
• DIVISIONS ARE SUBJECT TO CANCELLATION IF NOT SUPPORTED BY PLAYER COUNTS OR VOLUNTEERS.
• ASSIGNMENT OF PLAYERS IS DEPENDENT ON VOLUNTEER AVAILABILITY.


Fall 2020 Rec Soccer info: North Area (Cabarrus/Mount Pleasant)

Thank you for your interest in our Cabarrus and Mount Pleasant area programs!
This season, we are happy to welcome families from Bethel Midlands Athletics to our program!

Our program utilizes VOLUNTEER COACHES. Without coaches, there will not be teams! Please consider volunteering to coach your child's team. You can volunteer during registration. 

Our programs are TEAM-BASED programs! There are no tryouts or evaluations for our general recreation programs.

 
 CSA-NORTH PROGRAM DETAILS (Applies to all practice locations)
 Age Groups/Genders Offered
 Most teams will be co-ed.
 Age groups, locations and practice nights may be combined depending on enrollment.
 Please see our age group policy to request exceptions.

 U6 (Birth Years 2015 & 2016, must be 4 by September 1.)
    Plays 3 v 3 with no goalie. 6 to 7 players per team.
 U8 (Birth Years 2013 & 2014) 
    Plays 4 v 4 with no goalie. 7 to 8 players per team.
 U10 (Birth Years 2011 & 2012) 
    Plays 7 v 7 with goalie. 10 to 11 players per team.
 U12 (Birth Years 2009 & 2010)
    Plays 9 v 9 with goalie. 12 - 14 players per team. Minimum of 11 players needed to form division.
 U13/U14/U15 (Birth Years 2006, 2007 & 2008)
    Plays 11 v 11 with goalie, team size permitting. Minimum of 16 players needed to form division.

 Practice Information
  • DUE TO THE UNKNOWNS SURROUNDING THE FIELD AVAILABILITY AND CAPACITY, ALL FIELD ASSIGNMENTS ARE TENTATIVE. CSA may need to use additional nearby venues.  
  • Parents must remain at the facility for all practices. No Dogs permitted.
  • Age groups, genders and practice nights may be combined, depending on enrollment.

 Game Information
 • Games are played on Saturdays at Red Ventures, Frank Liske Park or other Cabarrus County fields. Makeup games on Sundays are possible
 • U13-U15 may play outside teams at other Cabarrus locations.
 • 7 Games scheduled per season. 
 Fees and Policies
 U6 & U8: $95 per season
 U10 & U12: $110 per season
 U14 & U15: $130 per season
  
 • No refunds for individual registration cancellations after August 12. Refunds subject to $40 administrative fee. 
 • Uniform is NOT included in fee. Please see below.
 Uniforms: Sky Blue Shorts, Jerseys and socks. 
 • We are using a new lighter blue uniform this season. However, if you have a blue CSA uniform from Spring 2020 you may continue to use that version if you choose.
 • Uniforms must be purchased separately if needed. Approximate cost $58 + tax and shipping.

This program has limited capacity and may close early.
